At Church in the Country, we practice Believer’s Baptism—meaning baptism is for those who have personally and consciously made the decision to follow Jesus. It’s not something we do for infants or small children who haven’t yet made that choice. Baptism doesn’t save a person, but it is a public step of obedience that shows the world you’ve trusted Christ and are now walking with Him.

Jesus commanded it in Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…” And in Acts 2:41, we see that “those who accepted his message were baptized.” Belief came first, then baptism. That’s the model we follow.

We typically baptize during the early part of our Sunday service, using a horse trough right in our worship space. Baptisms can be scheduled ahead of time—or if someone is ready, we’ve even done them the very same day.

If you’ve given your life to Jesus and have never been baptized after making that decision on your own, we’d love to baptize you.
