We’re looking for people who are ready to serve and volunteer at Church in the Country. God has given each of us gifts and abilities, and the church is at its best when His people step up and use them for His glory. When you serve, you’re not just filling a spot—you’re helping create an environment where people can meet Jesus, grow in faith, and feel like they belong.

Around here, we call serving “The Family Business.” Why? Because when you join a team, you’re not just volunteering—you’re becoming part of a family working together to glorify God and love people. Every role matters. Every person has a place.

Children’s Ministry

If you love kids, there is a place for you in Children’s Ministry. In the nursery, volunteers care for babies and toddlers, assist parents with check-in, and help keep the space clean and safe so families can worship without worry. In PreK through 2nd grade, team members come alongside teachers to lead simple lessons, play games, and help children discover God’s love in a fun and nurturing environment. With Kountry Kids, our 3rd through 5th graders, volunteers encourage kids to join in crafts, group activities, and Bible discussions, creating a space where children feel valued and excited to learn about Jesus.

Youth Ministry

Our Backroads Student Ministry serves students from 6th through 12th grade. Volunteers play a vital role in weekly Wednesday night gatherings by helping with setup and teardown, joining in games and activities, and being present during lessons. More importantly, they build lasting relationships with students, encourage them in their faith, and walk alongside them during some of the most important years of their lives. Youth ministry team members also support trips, service projects, and special events, creating a safe, fun, Christ-centered environment for our teens.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders are our front-line team. They hold doors, offer smiles, and answer questions, helping people find their way—whether it’s their very first time at church or their first time in a long time. More than greeting, this is a ministry. Pathfinders create an environment where people can meet Jesus without barriers, distractions, or confusion. Every handshake, every smile, and every word matters.

Greeters

Greeters are often the first faces people see when they arrive. They set the tone for worship by offering a friendly welcome, giving directions, and helping guests feel at ease as they enter the building.

Connect Desk

The Connect Desk is the hub of information for our church. Volunteers here help answer questions about service times, ministries, events, resources, and ways to get plugged in, making it easier for guests and members alike to feel connected.

Kitchen Team

The Kitchen Team serves our church family and guests through the gift of hospitality. On Sunday mornings, they prepare and serve snacks and breakfast. They also step up during special events to cook and serve meals that bring people together. This team helps set the table—literally—for fellowship and community in the life of our church.

Safety Team

The Safety Team quietly works in the background to protect our congregation and ensure that everyone can worship in peace. They monitor the building and grounds, secure entrances, and provide support in any situation where safety is a concern.

Medical Team

Our Medical Team is made up of trained professionals such as EMTs, nurses, and doctors who are ready to respond in case of emergencies during services or events, providing peace of mind to everyone on campus.

Coffee Bar

The Coffee Bar is a place of hospitality. Volunteers prepare and serve coffee and snacks, greeting each guest warmly and helping create the warm, friendly atmosphere that makes our church feel like home.

Welcome Home Team

The Welcome Home Team focuses on walking with newcomers beyond the first handshake. These volunteers help guests take next steps, connect with others, and feel like they belong in our church family.

Media Team

The Media Team helps people experience worship in powerful ways by operating sound, lights, live stream, and lyric presentation. Whether behind the camera or at the soundboard, every role helps keep distractions out of the way so people can focus on Jesus. Training is provided, so anyone with a willing heart can serve.

Site Upkeep Team

The Site Upkeep Team makes sure our church facilities are safe, clean, and welcoming. From repairs and maintenance to outdoor care, this team keeps God’s house in order so ministry can happen without obstacles.

Prayer and Care Team

The Prayer and Care Team covers our church family in prayer and compassion. Members of this ministry take part in prayer chains, visit and encourage those facing health challenges, and stand with others in seasons of need. It is a ministry of intercession, encouragement, and love.

Blessing Room Team

The Blessing Room Team oversees our food pantry, stocking shelves, organizing supplies, and distributing items to families in need. They also share needs with the church family so that we can all work together to meet them. This ministry allows us to extend Christ’s love in practical and powerful ways to our community.

Social Media Team

The Social Media Team helps tell the story of what God is doing at Church in the Country. Volunteers take photos of services and events, post updates and announcements, and keep our online presence active so that encouragement and information reaches beyond the church walls.
