God has richly blessed nations, families, and individuals throughout history, but every blessing carries a responsibility. As Israel stood on the edge of the Promised Land, Moses warned them not to forget the God who had brought them there. Likewise, America's prosperity has been a tremendous blessing, yet blessing without gratitude and obedience can lead to pride, complacency, and spiritual drift. God lovingly corrects those He loves, calling His people back to faithfulness before blessing becomes an idol. Ultimately, God's greatest gift isn't prosperity, success, or even a nation—it is His Son, Jesus Christ. Through the cross, Christ secured the forgiveness and eternal life we could never earn, and through the Lord's Supper He continually calls us to remember His sacrifice. The greatest progress we can ever make is moving closer to Jesus and living in faithful obedience to Him.
